Terms & Conditions

Effective September 3, 2026 · CAL for Dementia (calfordementia.com)

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of CAL for Dementia, an educational platform operated by CAL — Centers for Advanced Learning ("CAL," "we," "us") at calfordementia.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

1. What CAL for Dementia is

CAL for Dementia helps the people caring for someone with dementia organize as a connected circle of care and access educational guidance matched to their situation. It provides tools to build a care circle, invite others, and learn — evolving as the care journey changes.

Not medical advice. CAL for Dementia is an educational service only. It does not provide medical, legal, or financial advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional judgment. Using CAL does not create a doctor–patient, attorney–client, or other professional relationship. Always consult qualified professionals for decisions about care, health, legal, or financial matters, and call emergency services in an emergency.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including by: uploading unlawful or harmful content; attempting to access data or circles you are not authorized to access; interfering with the security or operation of the service; or using CAL to send spam or to harass others.

5. Text messaging (SMS) terms

By providing your mobile number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages from CAL for Dementia related to your care circle, including invitations, account and sign-in messages, and care-coordination notifications.

6. Intellectual property

The CAL for Dementia platform and its content — including text, design, educational materials, and software — are owned by CAL or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may use the service for your own caregiving purposes but may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission. 9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CAL and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service or from reliance on any educational content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold CAL harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of the rights of others.

11. Termination

You may stop using CAL and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which CAL — Centers for Advanced Learning is organized, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
